May is a repeat of March 
as a cold wind blows 

surely the forecast 
someday will not include frost 
as parts of the world 

still can’t leave the house 
thinking they were past the worst 
avalanche upwards 

the end of the world 
will happen in slow motion 
then suddenly fast
